Night Curtains

I simply love to watch sunset.. Especially when I'm at a beautiful view point or at high places.. It just gives me an inimitable feeling when watching and thinking about how day turns to night and night shed back to day.. It's a magnificent phenomenon, that's beyond our control.. All praise to the Almighty..

Stalking like a ninja

Well, this little fellow was stalking everyone at the pathway like a ninja.. I bump into this one as a woman was screaming when she encounter this fellow while sitting on a bench which was next to him...

Cute couple

Aren't they a cute couple??
^_^

A view of the Lake

This is a view of the UQ Lakes. The purple color tree are Jacaranda tress that are blooming as we're currently in spring at this time of the year...

An afternoon at UQ Lakes

This little fellow was very aggressive to me because I was too close to her little chicks...
Anyone knows what's the name of this bird??

Eid 2009

This is my 3rd Eid in Australia...
Although, I'm not in my home soil but the excitement of Eid celebrated here was no different...
Today, was the 2nd week of Eid and the photo above awas taken at Brother Hussin's house, which was the first house I visited today...
In this shot, I tried to apply some of the knowledge of group portraiture and to be honest, I'm quite impressed with myself as this my first shot with group photos...

The colour and contrast was nice and the presence of 'flowers of spring' add more drama to the atmosphere...

View of Heaven

This a view of Queenstown high up at Bob's Peak...
It was a spectacular view up here!!
I'll let the picture talk for themselves...
:)

Cute Little Lambs

This one is my favorite...
Spot these two cute lambs when I was in the Deer Park in Queenstown...
The two were actually trying to hide from the visitors that were feeding their parents by camouflaging with the surrounding rocks... They were standing there without any movement and even I didn't realize they was there...
Luckily my pal spotted them...

Pancake Rocks

This a photo of The Pancake Rocks, located in Punakaiki... It was a very beautiful rock formation that I've never ever see in my life... These rocks looks like pancakes that are stacked together in a plate...

This was quite a difficult photo to shoot as I had to get on top of another rock to get the angle...It was a bit dangerous as there was a possibility that a sudden gust of wind could blow me in to the sea down below...

Anyway, the fine weather helps me a lot to lock a natural exposure...

NZ's Adventure

Just came back from NZ a week ago...
It's been a while since I last post anything I here...
Well, I've left a hectic semester behind and another one is just around the week...
Umm, I got heaps of photos of my NZ adventure to be uploaded in the near future...
A summary of my trip was Brisbane-chrishchurch-queenstown-milford sound-queenstown-hoikitika-greymouth-Arthur's past-chrishchurch-Mt hutt-christchurch-Hamner Springs-chrishchurch-Brisbane.
It was a veryyy long and tiring road trip, but, a totally awesome holiday experience..

Anyway, a bad thing hapend to me when I was back in brisbane... I got an oil burn at my right hand... Preety bad though... The doctor told me it take weeks to recover... What happend?? Long story, maybe next time as I'm getting tired typing with only my left hand one alphabate at a time....

Harbour Bridge 1

I really like taking picture of the harbour bridge... It's really beautiful at night as you can see in the picture on the left... This is one of my favourite picture of the bridge... The light reflection at the sky and at the same time on the water really makes this picture special to me...

Harbour Bridge 2

This is another picture of the Harbour bridge but from the other side of the bridge facing the city.. What I like about this picture is the diagonal bridge span across the picture frame.. Meanwhile, I guess maybe the contrast coming from the street light down below is a bit too high thus effecting the image..

Well, what do you say??

Catch!!

Hi again...
What I've got here is a shot taken during the QSC netball competition... Actually, this is my first time taking a picture in a sorting event... Most of the time, I prefer to take landscape and portrait picts... I think this one is a good shot and that it has some meaning in the picts itself...

Any comments would be appreciated...

In one frame

Opera house, Sydney CBD and Harbour bridge in one frame... I guess that the picture is a bit 'empty' on the upper left side and that I didn't manage to get the bridge captured in full...
Mmm, need to get one of those wide angle lenses in the future...

Sydney O.H

Well, I guess nearly everyone in the world know about this landmark... Yup, it's the opera house...
I guess the picture is a bit dark on the lower right hand side...

Wentworth Falls

This one was taken at Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountain.. I was actually on a view point 30m away from the fall itself.. I was thinking of tacking further down the fall but I only have like 30min of sunshine left to actually track out from the jungle... Maybe next time I guess...

It took me a while to get a natural flow of the fall as the winds keep blowing the water away most of the time... But, it's worth the time...

First Macro

This picture was my first macro shot. I encounter it while jungle tracking in Blue Mountain. Pesonally, I like the colour of the mushroom and the dead leaf makes it even more natural...
